Many of our guests come to Chisel Barn solely to take advantage of the beautiful walks. With the iron age hill forts Hod and Hambledon Hill on our doorstep, we are perfectly placed for those who want a rewarding walk with beautiful views of the countryside at the end.
Alternatively walk straight out of the barn down the hill, and you come to the banks of the beautiful river Stour. The banks a little downstream are perfectly secluded for birdwatchers.
Walks along the Jurassic coast are an hour’s drive, while the beautiful National trust house and gardens at Stourhead is just 35 minutes away.
We love dogs so you don't have to leave behind your most enthusiastic walking companion either.

We started from a beautiful pub (the Smugglers Inn) in Ossmington Mills and walked along the beaches and cliffs. The Durdle Door is definitely worth a visit if you’ve not been before…’
